This release pairs the source at
cfe1f8ff15feadec8f3a0c88a9d66648040e61dd with the complete standard
generated-artifact graph in assets.generated.v10.tar.xz. The bundle was
rendered on a Framework Desktop with make assets-resilient and is published
as a static release asset, not as Git history.

The payload has one safe top-level directory, assets.generated/. It contains
no absolute paths, parent-directory traversal, duplicate paths, symlinks, or
zero-byte files. Regular files have mode 0644; directories have mode 0755.
Recorded payload modification times run from 2026-08-06 15:30:43 through
15:50:11 PDT.
What changed since v20260805
- Stage 10 adds one projection-neutral WebAssembly runtime for all six projections, topology-aware paths and slices, workers, SVG/Canvas/D3 adapters, Node checks, and a real-browser smoke path.
- Stage 6b replaces the historical resource interpretation with five current, independently defined resource families and 30 non-sparse, six-projection products.
- Stage 8b adds separate complete-2025 and partial-2026 NOAA CPC temperature fields across all projections while preserving the original source-separated Anthropocene observation atlas.
- Cahill-Keyes and Star-X gain edge-folding and seam-routing corrections; Myriahedral generation gains reusable perspective layouts and revised numerical handling.
- Network-infrastructure sources and pins are tightened, including the submarine-cable map source correction.
assets-resilientnow runs a bounded, keep-going first pass and a serial completion pass. Inkscape PDF and PNG exports write nonempty temporary files and rename them atomically, with failed temporary outputs removable throughmake clean-failed-generated.
The source range contains 11 commits and changes 107 files relative to
v20260805. See the Stage 10, resources, Anthropocene, and generation notes in
the repository for the detailed API, data, and interpretation contracts.
Static-asset inventory
The archive carries 133 product stems. Every stem has a layered SVG, a
single-page PDF, and an opaque 8-bit sRGB PNG whose longest side is 3840
pixels. The 30 resource products also include a deterministic gzip copy of
their SVG; each gzip member expands byte-for-byte to its adjacent .svg.
| Payload class | Files | Bytes | Largest member |
|---|---|---|---|
| Layered SVG | 133 | 1,436,981,630 | bathymetry-roulette-star-x-34-44.svg, 118,097,662 bytes |
| Resource SVG gzip | 30 | 11,400,785 | resources-flora-forest-area-percent-latest-2026-myriahedral-44-24.75.svg.gz, 481,292 bytes |
| Single-page PDF | 133 | 541,617,073 | bathymetry-roulette-star-x-34-44.pdf, 66,140,057 bytes |
| Opaque 4K-long-side PNG | 133 | 162,698,866 | water-authagraph-44-19.052559.png, 4,530,173 bytes |
| Total | 429 | 2,152,698,354 |
The 133 products comprise:
| Family | Product stems |
|---|---|
| Geometry | 6 |
| Graticules | 6 |
| Earth, including 12 Cahill-Keyes slices | 18 |
| Water, including five Myriahedral perspectives and two face-group slices | 13 |
| Astronomy | 12 |
| Orbital Technosphere | 12 |
| Resources Stage 6b | 30 |
| Anthropocene observations | 6 |
| Anthropocene temperature | 12 |
| Network swarm | 6 |
| Network-infrastructure sites | 6 |
| Bathymetry Roulette | 6 |
| Total | 133 |
Cloud-atmosphere products are source-timed, credentialed opt-ins and are not
in this standard bundle. TeleGeography submarine-cable and Internet-exchange
topology products are separately licensed opt-ins and are also excluded. The
release tag supplies source code and documentation; the static bundle supplies
only assets.generated/. WebAssembly .mjs and .wasm build outputs are not
in this asset and must be built from the tagged source when needed.
Hardware requirements and render host
Downloading and viewing the archive does not require the render workstation. Any platform with XZ and tar support can verify or extract it. Keep at least 3.0 GB free when retaining both the 846 MB download and the 2.153 GB extracted payload; 4 GB gives useful filesystem and verification headroom. Viewing an individual 3840-pixel PNG has ordinary desktop requirements. Editing the largest SVG or PDF can require substantially more memory than viewing its PNG.
The release-qualified regeneration host was:
| Component | Recorded configuration |
|---|---|
| Machine | Framework Desktop |
| Processor/APU | AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 with Radeon 8060S |
| CPU topology | 16 physical cores, 32 hardware threads |
| CPU identity | AMD family 26, model 112, stepping 0; microcode 0xb700037 |
| Sampled CPU frequency | 2000 MHz reported by /proc/cpuinfo |
| Memory | 131,150,248 kB kernel-visible (about 125.1 GiB; 128 GB installed class) |
| Swap | 8,388,604 kB (8 GiB) |
| Render concurrency | ASSET_JOBS=2, followed by the target’s serial completion pass |
| Graphics | Integrated Radeon 8060S; no GPU acceleration is required by the build |
The host reports AVX2 and AVX-512 features, but they are not release
requirements. The default native build uses -std=c++20 and does not enable
-march=native; generation is intended to run on any 64-bit processor
supported by the documented compiler, GDAL/GEOS/H3, and Inkscape stack.
Additional cores reduce compile and generator latency but are not consumed
aggressively by the default two-job asset target.
No numeric minimum RAM below the reference host has been release-qualified.
The largest explicit SVG is 118 MB and Inkscape’s working set is much larger
than the input file, so release-parity regeneration should use a 128 GB-class
host or establish a separately measured lower-memory baseline. On smaller
machines, use make assets-single or make ASSET_JOBS=1 assets-resilient to
prevent concurrent generator/export peaks. Reserve at least 4 GB beyond the
source checkout for the generated tree and atomic export temporaries; retain
another 0.85 GB if packaging the XZ archive in the same workspace.
The software and input requirements remain authoritative in the tagged
docs/prerequisites.md.
Hardware alone is not enough:
the standard graph also needs the pinned Natural Earth data and cloud/CDN
source checkout described there.
Verify and install
From a directory containing the downloaded asset:
printf '%s %s\n' \

assets.generated.v10.tar.xz | sha256sum --check -
xz --test assets.generated.v10.tar.xz
tar --list --file=assets.generated.v10.tar.xz | sed -n '1,20p'
tar --extract --xz --file=assets.generated.v10.tar.xz
Extract from the repository root to put the companion tree at
assets.generated/. Use a clean destination when preserving local generated
work; tar extraction can replace same-named files.
The source-only checkout does not contain the release bundle. At this commit,
make check includes check-resources-svg-archives, which expects the 30
resource .svg.gz files under assets.generated/svg/. Download and extract
the release asset before running the complete check suite, or regenerate the
asset graph locally.
Release verification record
The supplied archive was inspected before release with the following results:
- its SHA-256 matches the manifest above and
xz --testpasses; - all 433 tar entries are under
assets.generated/, with 429 regular files, four directories, no duplicates, and no unsafe paths; - all 133 SVGs parse as well-formed XML; the six large Bathymetry Roulette SVGs require an XML parser’s large-document mode;
- all 30
.svg.gzmembers pass gzip validation and exactly match the paired uncompressed SVGs; - all 133 PDFs pass
pdfinfoand contain one page; - all 133 PNGs decode successfully, are opaque sRGB, and have a 3840-pixel long side;
- representative Bathymetry Roulette, resources, Anthropocene temperature, and Myriahedral water PNGs were visually sampled; and
make checkpasses atcfe1f8ff15feadec8f3a0c88a9d66648040e61ddwhen the archive payload is present asassets.generated/.
The archive records a rendered snapshot, not a claim of byte-for-byte package reproducibility across different GDAL, GEOS, Inkscape, font, tar, or XZ versions. Semantic and licensing boundaries documented by each generator and data source still apply to the released images.
