This source-only GitHub release completes Stage 14 reverse-projection support across Cartofreako’s six registered projection families. It does not publish a generated-assets v14 archive and does not authorize or perform a UCB Active Archive Object Storage deposit over S3.

• Cahill–Keyes, AuthaGraph, Dymaxion, Myriahedral, Star-X, and Voronoi expose forward and reverse projection through the common native and WebAssembly runtime.
• AuthaGraph and Dymaxion accept face-qualified reverse requests where their unfolded layouts overlap. Myriahedral and Voronoi preserve explicit facet identity. Candidate enumeration avoids silently choosing among valid inverse branches.
• Star-X models the main four-quadrant carrier and the reconstructed Antarctic cap as two components. Its cap is projection-native, begins at the fixed 60°S cutoff, stays above the other quadrants in paint order, and no longer depends on Natural Earth geometry. The reconstructed boundary has sufficient lower-page clearance.
• Browser consumers receive immutable component metadata, single and batch reverse methods, typed-array paths, worker support, and D3 candidate access.
• Two stale pre-Izzi bathymetry curve includes found by the full release gate now use their canonical Izzi headers.

The forward/reverse API, individual projection implementation notes, and the Stage 14 convergence ledger record the mathematics, ambiguity contracts, tolerances, and implementation decisions.

Verification

• make check: passed on 2026-08-10.
• make check-forward-reverse-projection-api: passed for all six families, including facets, seams, poles, overlap, Star-X carrier/cap behavior, frame scaling, invalid qualifiers, and outside states.
• make wasm-projections and make check-wasm-projections: passed with runtime API 3.
• make check-wasm-projections-browser: passed in headless Chromium for the main thread and module worker.
• Legacy Cahill–Keyes and Myriahedral WebAssembly checks: passed.
• Focused UBSan and ASan projection campaigns: passed; LeakSanitizer alone was disabled because it cannot operate inside the executor’s ptrace boundary.
• git diff --check and JavaScript module syntax checks: passed.

Publication boundary

GitHub publication and UCB AAO preservation are separate concepts and separate Make targets. This release uses only release-github. The release-ucb-aao-s3 target is top-level and interactive-only, requires an explicit reviewed profile and staged tree, and is not a dependency of any GitHub, build, check, or generation target. It is a thin wrapper over alpha60-clusterops/bin/load-s3-aao; Cartofreako does not reimplement shared S3 transport. See the release runbook.
